Stephanie Vaquer is ready to defend the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42 against Liv Morgan next Saturday, April 18.

WWE even confirmed the match last night during Monday Night RAW, following another physical confrontation between the two wrestlers. Previously, there had been a risk of cancellation, as Morgan had entered WWE’s concussion protocol after last week’s events.

However, not only is Morgan heading into the biggest event of the year with lingering issues, but Vaquer herself is as well.

In a recent interview with Insight with Chris Van Vliet, La Primera admitted she is not in her best condition.

“Am I in pain? If you’re talking about injuries, no, I’m fine. But after 12 years in my career, my body hurts, so I need to recover, but I don’t have any injuries. I’m not 100% for WrestleMania 42. I still need to recover from several small things in my body, but I don’t have any injuries. I’m always training, but not like before, because I don’t have time. Sometimes I’m very tired, sometimes I need to recover, like my ankle and knee—I need more time.”

To conclude, Vaquer revealed that WWE’s high-intensity routine contributes to some physical issues, although she admits it is all worth it.

“The pace here is so hectic… now we have to stop and take a day off. It’s good, but at the same time my body is sore, and that’s normal since I’m a professional wrestler. But yes, sometimes I think I need to take better care of my body.”
