WWE plans for the Friday Night SmackDown roster to also benefit from the recent NXT promotions.

Just in this post-WrestleMania 42 week alone, at least two names have already been moved up to Monday Night RAW. First, Ethan Page, who debuted this past Monday in Las Vegas by defeating Je’Von Evans, and then Joe Hendry, who is set to make his debut next week.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, former NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne is also among the names already called up, but her destination is expected to be the blue brand.

“SmackDown could be getting a refresh. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports there is a bit of a presentation update on WWE SmackDown being discussed. A number of names have been discussed for a roster, including Jacy Jayne and Rey Mysterio possibly appearing on the brand.”

As mentioned in the report above, Friday Night SmackDown as a whole is expected to undergo changes, but its logo and theme song are not expected to be altered.

“The WWE SmackDown theme song, set design and logo are expected to remain unchanged.”

The first Friday Night SmackDown after WrestleMania 42, which takes place next Friday in Fort Worth, Texas, could already feature these new additions, including Jayne’s debut.

What has already been confirmed for tomorrow night’s show is the return of Paige. The new WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship will return to the blue brand after a hiatus of nearly ten years.
