Roman Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of night two of WrestleMania 42 and, apparently, already has a challenger on the horizon.
During the post-show for the Showcase of Immortals, the crowd began chanting, “Oba is gonna kill you!” while Oba Femi was giving his speech, which led the Nigerian star to challenge the OTC.
Later, on the same panel, it was Reigns’ turn to send a message to “The Ruler“:
“Oba, gonna kill me? You still seem a little new to this business. You did something big tonight, but I’ve done it many times, and I did it with a title on the line. I won, I defended. Let’s see how you do over the summer, and then we’ll see if you’re on the level to face the greatest of all time.”
Reigns acknowledged Femi’s accomplishment, but made it clear that one big victory does not immediately put him on his level.
It is worth remembering that, during a recent appearance on ESPN’s First Take, Reigns listed Femi himself among the young talents he would like to face in the future.
