Danhausen was at the center of one of the most hilarious moments of WrestleMania 42, in a segment that also featured John Cena, The Miz, and Kit Wilson.

It all started when Miz and Wilson interrupted Cena right after he announced that Allegiant Stadium had sold out on both nights of the event. At that point, Danhausen, who is feuding with both men, showed up and unleashed chaos.

Danhausen made his entrance in a coffin-shaped kart, accompanied by several “Minihausens”. The segment ended with Wilson being attacked by the “Minihausens”, while Miz was hit with a Five Knuckle Shuffle and then carried out of the ring by the “Minihausens”. Cena could not hold back his laughter after the former AEW star’s failed attempt to disappear in a smoke bomb.

However, on the latest edition of Rewind Recap Relive, Richard Fitzwell of Micro Mania Midget Wrestling, who portrayed one of the “Minihausens”, revealed that WWE’s plans for the segment were originally much simpler.

“It was supposed to be something simple — just him coming down the ramp — but it turned into something much bigger. The Miz came into our locker room and asked if we could lift him. He was the one who started it all. Backstage, we picked him up and he said, ‘Alright, I’m going to talk to production and see if we can get that into the segment.’ Then we went to rehearsal — John Cena was there. Danhausen asked Cena to be part of it.

Then they asked if we were going into the ring, if one of us would get shoved, another would hit a low blow — and then we’d all jump on him, beat him up, and then go back to Miz to carry him out. It kept growing little by little. Like I said, it started simple and turned into something huge. Having John Cena there, along with The Miz and Danhausen — it was a dream come true.”

Danhausen, who debuted in WWE on February 28 at Elimination Chamber, has still wrestled only one match — two weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown against Kit Wilson — although he has been one of the biggest highlights of the company’s weekly programming.
