Stephanie Vaquer and Liv Morgan competed in the shortest match of WWE WrestleMania 42, which was for the Women’s World Championship.
Morgan defeated Vaquer after benefiting from several interferences by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, which paved the way for the ObLivion, followed by a pinfall.
The length of the match, however, drew more attention than the result. Many fans questioned the decision and voiced a lot of criticism.
According to Bodyslam.net, Morgan and Vaquer arrived at the event injured, which compromised both of their performances. WWE itself required a shorter match to avoid worsening the wrestlers’ physical condition.
It is important to note that, in the week leading up to WrestleMania 42, Morgan entered WWE’s concussion protocol. On that occasion, she suffered a hard blow to the head with Perez backstage on Monday Night RAW, following an attack by Vaquer.
Even though she was medically cleared to compete at the Showcase of Immortals, Morgan still arrived at the event with a large bruise on her head.
Morgan and Vaquer are expected to appear on tonight’s Monday Night RAW, taking place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
