Rhea Ripley, despite being involved in one of the top rivalries heading into WrestleMania 42, recently stated that she doesn’t need a title to remain dominant in WWE.
Since winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match on February 28 in Chicago, Ripley has become the No. 1 contender for the WWE Women’s Championship, a title currently held by Jade Cargill.
The rivalry between the two, which initially played out through verbal exchanges, has now turned more physical, with Cargill holding a clear advantage—especially due to her alliance with Michin and B-Fab.
In a recent interview on Peter Rosenberg’s show, Ripley was asked about not holding a championship at the moment, despite her rivalry heading into The Showcase of the Immortals.
Ripley initially joked about the situation, saying that while she feels a bit empty without a title, it does make things easier when going through airports since she doesn’t have to keep opening her bag.
However, the former Women’s Tag Team Champion emphasized that she doesn’t need a championship to continue feeling like a dominant force in WWE.
“But at the same time, I don’t mind not having a title because I still feel like, like you said, every time I step into the ring and walk out on that stage in front of everyone, I’m a champion. So I feel like I don’t need a title to show how dominant I am in WWE.”
