Since turning heel two weeks ago by attacking Cody Rhodes on WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton has been seen talking to a mysterious person on his phone who appears to be encouraging this new persona within the company.
Previously, names like The Rock and Ted DiBiase Jr. had been mentioned as strong possibilities to fill the mystery role.
For now, DiBiase’s name seems to be gaining the most traction, especially after he was cleared of the legal cases he had been facing in the United States.
During a recent appearance on The Clay Edwards Show, alongside his attorney Scott Gilbert, DiBiase Jr. teased a potential appearance on Night Two of WrestleMania 42, on April 19.
DiBiase Jr.:
“April 19. Las Vegas.”
Gilbert:
“Alright. Let’s lock it in. No problem.”
At that point, Clay Edwards questioned Gilbert:
“I like that. I know what’s going on there. April 19. That looked like Ted DiBiase Jr. in the background. Was he on the phone with Randy Orton?”
Gilbert responded:
“I don’t know who he was talking to on the phone. But he’s definitely booking some kind of trip.”
Ted DiBiase Jr. has teased he will be in Las Vegas for WWE WrestleMania 42 weekend.

This week on Friday Night SmackDown, Rhodes and Orton will come face-to-face for the first time since the brutal attack two weeks ago.
The expectation is that, by WrestleMania 42, this mysterious name—whether it’s Ted DiBiase Jr. or not—will be revealed by Orton.
