Brock Lesnar, since the end of night two of WrestleMania 42, has been the most talked-about name in WWE on social media after a gesture that sparked rumors of a possible retirement from the ring.
Right after being defeated by Oba Femi in the opening match of the event, Lesnar took off his gloves and boots and left them in the center of the ring. He then completely broke character and, visibly emotional, hugged Paul Heyman and thanked the fans.
Heyman, however, did not interpret the gesture as a sign of farewell and said in an interview with TMZ that there is nothing to suggest a retirement.
“What’s my view? Another 15 years of Brock Lesnar dominating everything. Why? Why do you keep pushing this retirement story?”
As we previously reported on House of Wrestling, there is a strong possibility that Lesnar will only end his career at SummerSlam in August, in a Career-Threatening Match against Gunther.
Previously, Gunther had already teased a showdown with Lesnar by telling Heyman during an episode of Monday Night RAW that he owed him a “favor” for saving him from Seth Rollins.
The expectation is that on tonight’s Monday Night RAW at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, WWE will give a verdict on Lesnar’s future after the hard loss he suffered the night before.
