Joe Hendry did not have one of his best nights in WWE at NXT Stand & Deliver, and he may have suffered an injury during the show’s main event.
As previously reported by House of Wrestling, Tony D’Angelo defeated Hendry, Ricky Saints, and Ethan Page in a Fatal 4-Way Match to win the NXT Championship for the second time in his career.
D’Angelo secured the victory after delivering a chokeslam to Hendry, followed by the pinfall. Earlier in the match, D’Angelo had also sent Saints and Page crashing onto the announce table.
In a video recorded by a Ringside News contributor who was present at the arena in St. Louis, Hendry can be seen being assisted by two referees as he makes his way to the backstage area. He appears to be in significant pain.
As of now, however, there is no confirmation of an injury, nor whether the pain Hendry experienced was serious.
Hendry loses the title after a 60-day reign, which began on February 3 when he won it in a Ladder Match.
