A former WWE Universal Champion could be revealed as the mysterious person communicating with Randy Orton via cellphone during his rivalry with Cody Rhodes on the road to WrestleMania 42.

Ever since attacking Rhodes three weeks ago and completing his heel turn, Orton has been speaking to a mysterious individual on his phone, who is clearly influencing his new, more aggressive attitude.

Previously, names like The Rock and Ted DiBiase Jr. had emerged as potential candidates for this mystery identity. However, another very familiar face may be behind it.

On his official X account, Kevin Owens posted an enigmatic video in which he is seen playing with a Cody Rhodes action figure while his entrance theme, “The Kingdom,” plays in the background, sparking speculation that he may be connected to Orton in this rivalry.

Owens’ last WWE match took place in January 2025 at the Royal Rumble, where he was defeated by Cody Rhodes in a Ladder Match. On that occasion, Owens suffered a serious neck injury that has kept him sidelined ever since.

Coincidentally, Owens had been scheduled to face Orton at WrestleMania 41, but Joe Hendry replaced him at the last minute following his injury.
