David Finlay is officially without a contract after the termination of his link with NJPW, according to information revealed a short while ago by Fightful Select.
Finlay’s contract with NJPW, according to the portal, expired in mid-to-late January or early February. On February 11, just a few days ago, at The New Beginning in Osaka, Finlay was defeated by Callum Newman.
After the confrontation, he made gestures as if he were saying goodbye to the audience, including a bow and a kiss to the company’s logo in the center of the ring.
It is worth making clear that Finlay is still scheduled for NJPW New Beginning USA, which will take place on February 27. At the event, he will face Fred Rosser and, it is expected that this will be his farewell from the company. Rumors point to his move to WWE.
The rumors about Finlay in WWE have significant foundation, as many analysts believe in this possibility due to his father, Fit Finlay, acting as a coach and producer at the Performance Center.
