The opening segment of last Monday Night RAW generated a lot of discussion due to the “pipebomb” delivered by CM Punk, in which he criticized TKO, Roman Reigns, Pat McAfee, and even The Rock.
According to Bodyslam, however, the Best in the World did not use a full script for his thirteen-minute speech, but rather a series of bullet points, which gave him significant freedom to speak the way he wanted.
During the segment, which was quickly compared to his famous “pipebomb” from years ago, Punk addressed sensitive topics, such as the high ticket prices charged by WWE for WrestleMania 42.
The rivalry between Punk and Reigns, for the World Heavyweight Championship, has been growing increasingly unpredictable, with sharp verbal exchanges escalating week after week.
The expectation is that their match will headline the second night of WrestleMania 42, on April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In fact, so far many fans have criticized the promo, since WWE has been using the term “pipebomb,” but everything was actually orchestrated by the company itself. When, in 2011, Punk criticized the company—what fans label as the machine—today he is part of that machine. In other words, it is all part of the show and not a truly genuine criticism.
