Becky Lynch lost the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to AJ Lee last Saturday night at WWE Elimination Chamber in Chicago. Since then, she has spent considerable time on social media complaining about how referee Jessika Carr unfairly disadvantaged her.
Lynch may actually have a point. With Saturday’s loss, she reached a 0-6 record in matches officiated by Carr.
The match against AJ was undeniably controversial. In the final moments, Lynch leaped to strike Lee in the corner but struck her head on the exposed turnbuckle instead, subsequently falling victim to the Black Widow. Notably, Lynch herself had removed the padding earlier in the match.
Since the bout, “The Man” has staged a social media protest, even threatening WWE and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. She declared that she will not appear on RAW unless Pearce suspends Carr.
“ADAM PEARCE, PLEASE ADVISE. IF YOU DO NOT SUSPEND CORRUPT CARR AND ADDRESS MY BELOVED INTERCONTINENTAL BEING STOLEN AND DEGRADED BY ABSOLUTE JOKE AND HER TERRIBLE, CLASSLESS HUSBAND, I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO INFORM YOU AND THE BECKY BELIEVERS OF THE WORLD THAT I WILL NOT BE AT RAW TOMORROW!!!”

Lynch’s resentment toward Carr is long-standing. Last year, she similarly blamed the referee for her previous defeats.
